The company has four sets of waste treatment facilities, two in Muli Mining Area and two in Guangnan Smelter. The treatment facilities in Muli mining area are tailings pond and inclined Narrow-flow dense compound box, which are used to treat mineral processing wastewater and tailings. The tailings pond was built in March 2001 with a designed storage capacity of 970,000 cubic meters and a total settlement area of 1445 square meters. The designed treatment capacity is 240 t/h. The waste gas treatment facilities in Guangnan Smelter are pulse bag filter and desulfurization system. The flushing bag type dust collector was built in 2003 with a design capacity of 3000 t/a. The desulfurization system was built in July 2006 and upgraded in September 2012. The design capacity of flue gas treatment was 60 000 m3/h. At present, each set of three wastes treatment facilities are running normally, and the treated wastewater and exhaust gas meet the discharge standards.
