On July 24, the second meeting of the 3rd Council of the Antimony Branch under the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association was held in Nanning, Guangxi. The primary agenda of the meeting included: guiding principles based on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Economic Work Conference, and the Two Sessions; analyzing the current state and challenges facing China's antimony industry; reviewing and summarizing the branch's key activities over the past year, as well as outlining plans and arrangements for the next phase of work. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the financial status of the branch’s membership fees for 2023, approved adjustments to the deputy secretary-general positions, and addressed other relevant matters. The event also featured a handover ceremony for the rotating chairmanship and provided an opportunity for member companies to share their insights and suggestions regarding the antimony industry and the branch’s ongoing initiatives.
Zhao Zhenjun, Secretary-General of the Antimony Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, chaired the meeting. During the session, Zhang Nan, Director of the Heavy Metals Department at the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Deputy Secretary-General of the Antimony Branch, read out the association's official approval to hold the second meeting of the 3rd Council of the Antimony Branch. Meanwhile, Xie Jianlong, Chairman of Guizhou Dongfeng Antimony Co., Ltd. and rotating chairman of the Antimony Branch, delivered a work report titled "Adapting to New Market Trends, Building Innovative Industrial Models to Ensure Safe, Stable, and Sustainable Development of China's Antimony Industry." Cai Yong, Party Secretary and Chairman of Guangxi Huaxi Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., who was newly appointed as the rotating chairman, also made a keynote speech. Nearly 30 representatives from antimony industry member companies—including representatives from Xikuangshan Shanxing Antimony Co., Ltd., Hunan Chenzhou Mining Co., Ltd., Yunnan Muli Antimony Co., Ltd., and Yunnan Wenyi Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd.—along with other industry professionals, attended the meeting.
