Chen Xuesen stated that "new-quality productivity" is the primary focus and intrinsic requirement for the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metals industry. To achieve this, we must firmly align with the goals of "high-endization, intelligentization, and green development," continuously integrating new-quality productivity into the broader framework of the industry's high-quality growth. Leading enterprises in the antimony sector have already made notable progress in areas such as green initiatives, smart technologies, and high-end product development. However, challenges remain, including continued reliance on imports for certain premium products and gaps in overall智能化 (intelligentization) levels. In addition to ramping up exploration efforts—both domestically and internationally—to secure vital resources—we must also significantly boost investment in scientific and technological innovation, swiftly addressing the hurdles hindering the antimony industry’s push toward higher value-added production. Equally important is fostering a strong commitment to智能化 (intelligentization), actively shifting mindsets to embrace this transformative approach. Furthermore, sustained efforts are needed to tackle technical bottlenecks, ensuring the antimony industry can move toward greener, more sustainable growth. At the same time, the antimony industry must strengthen self-regulation, staying tightly aligned with the overarching goal of high-quality development. This means letting go of the obsession with speed and scale, strictly controlling the addition of new smelting capacity to prevent excessive internal competition, and ultimately enhancing economic efficiency.

Chen Xuesen, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, delivered a speech and presented a report; Cai Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guangxi Huaxi Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., as well as the rotating chairman of the Antimony Branch, gave an address and presented a report; Duan Shaofu, Director of the Heavy Metals Department at the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Vice Chairman of the Antimony Branch, chaired the opening ceremony. Also in attendance were Li JiaSheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Xikengshan Shanxing Antimony Industry Co., Ltd.; He YongMiao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hunan Chenzhou Mining Co., Ltd., who also serves as the rotating chairman of the Antimony Branch; Lu Lei, Chairman of Yunnan Muli Antimony Co., Ltd. and the rotating chairman of the Antimony Branch; and Xie JianLong, Chairman of Guizhou Dongfeng Antimony Co., Ltd. and the rotating chairman of the Antimony Branch, among others.
