Construction and Operation Status of Pollution Control Facilities

The company has four waste treatment facilities: two are located in the Muli Mining Area, and two are situated at the Guangnan Smelter. In the Muli Mining Area, the facilities include a tailings pond and a combined inclined narrow-flow thickening tank, designed to treat mineral processing wastewater and tailing sand. The tailings pond was constructed in March 2001 with a designed storage capacity of 970,000 cubic meters and a total settling area of 1,445 square meters. The inclined narrow-flow thickening tank was built in September 2009, with a designed processing capacity of 240 tons per hour. At the Guangnan Smelter, the waste gas treatment system consists of a pulse-jet baghouse dust collector and a desulfurization system. The pulse-jet baghouse was installed in 2003 and is designed to handle up to [specific capacity not provided in original text] tons of flue dust per hour. 3000 T/A: The desulfurization system was first constructed in July 2006 and underwent an upgrade and retrofit in September 2012. Beneficiation Branch Company: August 2008 The "Environmental Impact Assessment Report" for the 300 t/d expansion project of the Muli Antimony Mine, Yunnan Muli Antimony Industry Co., Ltd., was prepared by China Environmental Protection Group (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and received approval from the Guangnan County Environmental Protection Bureau in September 2008, under Approval Document No. Guanghuanzi (2008) No. 42.

Smelter: December 2008 The Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the 7,200-ton Antimony Products Project of Yunnan Muli Antimony Industry Co., Ltd. was prepared by the Guizhou Provincial Institute of Environmental Science and Design, and was approved in December 2008 by the Guangnan County Environmental Protection Bureau under Approval Document No. Guanghuanzi (2008) No. 74.

Exploration: July 2013 The Yunnan University Science and Technology Consulting Development Center prepared the "Environmental Impact Assessment Report Form for the Detailed Geological Exploration Project of the Ankang Antimony-Gold Mine in Guangnan County, Yunnan Province," which was approved by the Guangnan County Environmental Protection Bureau in August 2013, under Approval Document No. Guanghuanfa (2013) No. 41.
